Ubisoft’s new FPS XDefiant is an exciting new multiplayer game set to rival the experience of CoD Multiplayer. Here’s how you can sign up and play the XDefiant closed beta to get a taste of the new game.

XDefiant is Ubisoft’s new upcoming FPS that will be free-to-play when it officially launches. The game features a lot of exciting content for those who enjoy a multiplayer formula similar to that of Call of Duty, except XDefiant has aspects of an arena shooter, with many factions and unique abilities.

The game doesn’t have a release date at the time of writing, and there have been multiple tests for the game in the past. Now, the devs have officially released the XDefiant closed beta, which allows more players than ever before to experience the title.

For those interested, here’s how you can sign up and play the XDefiant closed beta, as well as the rewards up for grabs.

XDefiant is Ubisoft’s exciting new FPS game, and you just might get a chance to play it early.

XDefiant closed beta dates

The XDefiant closed beta is officially live as of April 13, 2023, and will be running until April 23, 2023, ending around 11 PM PT and April 24 2 AM ET / 7 AM BST.

XDefiant closed beta platforms

The XDefiant closed beta is currently only available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. Unfortunately, those on the previous generation of console, so PS4 and Xbox One, the XDefiant closed beta is not availble on those platforms.

How to get access to the XDefiant closed beta

In order to get access to the XDefiant closed beta on either PlayStation, Xbox, or PC, players will need a code. You can sign up for a chance to get a code on the official website.

Head to the Ubisoft XDefiant register page.
Sign into your Ubisoft account and choose which platform you’d like the code for.
Await an email to confirm that you have been accepted into the beta.

In this email, you should receive an XDefiant closed beta redemption code for your platform of choice and be able to download and play the game as soon as it’s downloaded.

How to get an XDefiant beta code through Twitch Drops

Players can also get a code for the XDefiant closed beta through Twitch Drops. Simply follow these steps and you’ll be playing the XDefiant closed beta in no time:

Link your Ubisoft account to Twitch and if you’re on console, you’ll need to link your console and Ubisoft account as well.
Head over to Twitch and find an XDefiant stream with the “Drops Enabled” tag.
Watch 30 minutes to earn a closed beta access.

XDefiant closed beta rewards

There are also rewards up for grabs for those who participate in the XDefiant closed beta. As well as an in-game battle pass, there are also other Twitch Drop rewards aside from earning beta access.

The in-game battle pass features 10 tiers of cosmetic items like weapon and faction skins, with the last reward being the Epic TechX weapon skin.

Below are the Twitch Drop rewards players can earn and the amount of time you need to watch to get them:

D50 “Violet” weapon skin (1 hour)
MK 20 SSR “Violet” weapon skin (1 hour)
