Genshin Impact has a long campaign that can take over 50 hours to complete but the game also includes features like co-op world where you invite your friends to defeat bosses and farm dungeons. Here’s how to play Genshin Impact with friends.

Genshin Impact is largely an action role-playing game where you take up the role of a sibling and go around Teyvat in search of your brother/sister. A handful of tasks like completing quests, completing daily commissions, and opening chests can only be executed in single-player mode.

Having said that, Genshin Impact also has a co-op mode that allows its massive community to make friends and enter each other’s world. Together, players can grind domains for artifacts and materials, take on weekly bosses, and complete puzzles.

Here’s how to enable co-op in Genshin Impact and enter your friends’ world.

How to make friends in Genshin Impact

You can make new friends in Genshin Impact with the help of their UID (user ID). Every user has a unique nine-digit long UID that is displayed under their name in the Paimon menu and the bottom right corner of the screen.

Follow these steps to make friends in Genshin Impact:

  1. Open the Paimon menu by pausing the game.
  2. Head over to the Friends section.
  3. Open the second tab and carefully enter your friend’s UID on the search bar.
  4. Send a friend request and wait for the other player to accept it.

You can chat, share items during events, and enter the world of your friends in the game.

To be a host, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Paimon menu and select co-op mode.

It is worth noting that you cannot enter the world of a player whose World Level is higher than yours. However, a player with a higher world level can still enter your world and carry you through the toughest bosses and domains.

Also, you can enjoy co-op only with players on the same server. This means that players from the Europe server cannot team up with the ones playing on the Asia/America servers and vice versa.
