Seppuku Ash of War in Elden Ring.

If you want to prepare for a Bleed build in Elden Ring, the Seppuku Ash of War is the way to go, so here’s where to find it and the best build for it.

The Elden Ring community has been using Bleed builds since the release of From Software’s open world adventure. The use of blood loss completely helps with regular enemies and Bosses, so it’s something every player should try at least once.

With this in mind, here’s how to get the Seppuku Ash of War in Elden Ring, and the best setup for a perfect Bleed build using it.

Seppuku location in Elden Ring

The Seppuku Ash of War in Elden Ring is located in the Frozen Lake, east of the “Freezing Lake” site of grace. Players will need to kill an invisible scarab that can be heard on the edge of the lake.

You can stand on the edge of the Frozen Lake, on its trail, to wait for it to appear and kill it with attacks while it moves towards you.

Seppuku stats in Elden Ring

Seppuku Ash of War in Elden Ring has a 4 FP cost, it is not chargeable and it cannot be parried by any enemy. The health toll of using Seppuku is 100 points + 15% of the player’s max HP.

This buff lasts for 60 seconds, and it adds 30 points of physical attack power and 30 points of base bleed build-up that scales with the Arcane stat.

Best Seppuku builds in Elden Ring

The Seppuku Ash of War grants the Blood affinity to your currently equipped weapon, but it does so by taking a portion of your health. This skill increases the player’s attack power and the ability to inflict blood loss on enemies.

So, the best build for the Seppuku Ash of War is:

  • x2 Blood Uchigatana with the Seppuku Ash of War
  • Lords of Blood Exultation Talisman
  • Blue Dancer’s Charm
  • Star Scourge Heirloom
  • Rotten Winged Sword Insignia

You can get another Uchigatana by starting with the Samurai class, or by asking another friend for it. Any other Katana can replace the second Uchigatana, as long as it has the Seppuku Ash of War. Both Ashes of War can be obtained by duplicating the original one found in the Frozen Lake.

The Lords of Blood Exultation Talisman will raise your attack power when using the Seppuku Blood affinity, and the Blue Dancer’s charm will raise it as well while using a low equipment load. So, with this in mind, try to equip any lighter armor of your choice.

Finally, the Star Scourge Heirloom will net you a 5-point bonus in the Strength stat, and the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia will also raise attack power with successive attacks. A dual-wield Katana build is one of the fastest set ups in Elden Ring, so this Insignia will work wonders here.
