Where to find Night Shards in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unlike other items in the game that have multiple ways of being found, Night Shards can only be gotten through one method – using your Royal Shovel inventory item to dig up sparkling mounds scattered through Dreamlight Valley.

That’s it! Furthermore, there aren’t pre-determined sparkling mounds that you know will give you Night Shards on every visit, it’s all up to chance.

What do Night Shards do in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

Every now and again a quest will ask you to deliver a select number of Night Shards entirely dependent on the quest and the needs of the character who wants them.

The actual number of quests that feature Night Shards is relatively low though, so you won’t need to be mound-hunting often. But if you run by one, then it wouldn’t hurt to stockpile a few for a rainy day.
