Dead Island 2 has finally arrived, and the long-awaited sequel has brought co-op zombie mayhem as well as a fresh new storyline in which you can take the role of six distinct main protagonists.
As you battle the undead threat in Hell-A, you’ll be able to find useful items that will improve your chances of survival. Some of these items can be accessed after collecting Fuses that can be used to unlock Fuseboxes.

How to get Dead Island 2 Fuses
You can purchase Fuses from the different traders that you meet in Dead Island 2. The first trader that you’ll encounter is Carlos who will sell Fuses for $1,500 each after you meet him in the Dead Island 2 story.
You will first be introduced to this character after you learn about the game’s weapon crafting system. If you run out of Fuses, you can come back to visit the trader and get some more, provided that you have enough money.

Certain areas will be locked behind fuseboxes, and you can insert the fuse into the fusebox in order to access these locations. This will allow you to grab all the resources and items that are in these areas.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Purchase a fuse from a trader.
- Head to one of the fusebox locations on the map.
- Approach the fusebox.
- Follow the button prompt to insert the fuse into the fusebox.
Fuses can be inserted into Fuseboxes to unlock areas in Dead Island 2.
You won’t have to search for long to find a Fusebox as their locations are marked by a Fuse on the map. However, you may face attacks from zombies as well as other dangers when interacting with them, so we advise watching your back.
