Bloodflame Blade is one of the most useful weapon coat incantations in Elden Ring as it applies two of the most broken status effects — Bleed and Fire. Here’s how you can get the Bloodflame Blade in Elden Ring and the best builds for it.

Elden Ring needs no introduction among gamers as its massive popularity helped it break numerous records in 2022. Now that the devs have revealed that its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is releasing on June 21, more and more players are getting back into the title once again.

There are very few Elden Ring players who have yet to try Bleed or Fire builds in the game, and the Bloodflame blade is one of the major aspects of such characters. Being one of the best incantations for applying weapon buffs, players want the Bloodflame Blade to be a part of their arsenal.

Here’s how to get Bladeflame Blade in Elden Ring.

How to get Bloodflame Blade in Elden Ring

To get the Bloodflame Blade incantation in Elden Ring, head over to the Rose Church in Liurnia of the Lakes, and northwest into the marshes to find a Teardrop Scarab. Kill it to get the Bloodflame Blade as a drop.

Bloodflame Blade will enchant your weapon to deal more Fire and Bleed damage, helping you cause blood loss during combat. Keep in mind that you will need a minimum of 12 Faith and 10 Arcane to be able to cast it in Elden Ring.

Best Bloodflame Blade builds in Elden Ring

To use your Bloodflame Blade incantation in the best way possible in Elden Ring, make sure to use it on a weapon that already has a blood loss effect on it, for example, Uchigatana and Nagakiba. As the incantation buffs up bleed buildup, using a bleed weapon is always the best way to proceed.

Some of the best weapons to use Bloodflame Blade with in Elden Ring are:

  • Uchigatana: Scales with Arcane and can be tweaked with other Ashes of War for effectiveness
  • Nagakiba: Same as the Uchigatana but has a much longer range due to length
  • Godskin Peeler: A great choice for fast attacks and has a great set of moves due to it being a Polearm
  • Hand of Malenia: Arguably the best Dex weapon in the game, and it’s Waterfowl Dance Ash of War can shred enemies with ease
  • Raptor Talons: A great dual-wielding choice for fast attacks to create bleed buildup quickly

Bloodflame Blade will require you to scale up your Arcane.

A common theme with all these weapons is their attack speed, and you need to aim for fast weapons to get the bleed buildup quicker with the Bloodflame Blade incantation. Of course, you can use it with something like the Rivers of Blood as well, but after a boatload of nerfs, there are better options.

Along with attack speed, make sure you have high Arcane and Dexterity as well, as that is necessary for high damage and bleed buildup in Elden Ring.

Here are the best Talismans to use with the Bloodflame Blade incantation in Elden Ring:

  • Rotten Winged Sword Insignia: Greatly raises attack power with successive attacks.
  • Millicent’s Prosthesis: Increases Dexterity by 5, and raises attack power with successive attacks.
  • Shard of Alexander: Greatly boosts Attack Power of Skills by 15%.

The main focus of using this incantation is the bleed buildup so using it with attacking Talismans is quite vital. This was everything you had to know about the Bloodflame Blade incantation and how to get it in Elden Ring.
