Capcom confirmed this information in the Capcom Showcase 2023, as they wanted to continue with the well-received original Dragon’s Dogma formula, which continued its success with the 2012 re-release, Dark Arisen.

However, the game does provide a unique experience through its AI Pawn system, which enables you to create your own followers in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Not only will they be fully customizable, but they’ll also have their personality, thanks to the implementation of AI.

Additionally, two more Support Pawns can be borrowed from other Dragon’s Dogma 2 players who have created their followers and shared them inside the Rift. The aim is to help you create a four-man party and go on expeditions while maintaining an online multiplayer co-op feel to the game.
