Is there a New Game Plus mode in Alan Wake 2?

Yes, Alan Wake 2 features a New Game Plus mode called “The Final Draft,” and it was released on Monday, December 11. Remedy confirmed the release date during The Game Awards 2023, with the mode packing much more content, including a new ending for the game.

Alan Wake 2: “The Final Draft” New Game Plus explained

The New Game Plus mode in Alan Wake 2, also known as “The Final Draft,” will allow players to restart the main story while retaining all unlocked weapons and upgrades. To balance things out, NG+ comes with a new “Nightmare” difficulty level.

Besides the base campaign, New Game Plus will also offer a new alternative narrative, featuring new collectible manuscript pages, new video content, and even a new ending.

As stated by Remedy’s creative director Sam Lake, Alan Wake 2’s NG+ mode “is an additional layer to the already layered experience.” He also added that it “has always been part of the plan,” so players who already finished the game might’ve not seen all there is to see yet.
