For fans of local multiplayer, here’s everything to know about the split-screen mode in Forza Motorsport.
Does Forza Motorsport have a split-screen mode?
No, Forza Motorsport will not have a split-screen at launch. We do not have any specifics on the dates when and if it will be available. It was initially meant to be part of the game but is now canned for launch and no definite date has been revealed for the feature.
The delay was announced by Turn 10 in their August 11, 2023 livestream. Creative Director Chris Esaki said, “Our heavy investment in pushing our new graphical features and our complete overhaul of the rendering engine, unfortunately, made split-screen really difficult to implement and is also not going to be in for launch.”
Alongside split-screen, the other two features—AI racers in multiplayer and Spectator Mode—will not be available for Forza Motorsport on release as well. Fans aren’t all too pleased, as features like split-screen are available in other games like Gran Turismo 7.
We’ll be sure to update you if these features are available on Forza Motorsport. For more on Forza Motorsport and other racing games, check out:
