Like every other racer, Forza Motorsport has multiple POV settings for your car camera. You can change them during races as well as set a default camera setting, here is how.

Whether you want to plug a wheel in Forza Motorsport and lock the camera on the cockpit to go full immersive or just want the camera a bit farther away to admire every stroke of pure artistry that you just brushed on your favorite car, there is a right view for you.

You can even change the FOV of each camera if you do not like the base field of view. So, here’s how to change your camera view in Forza Motorsport.

How to change your camera view during races in Forza Motorsport

To change your camera view during races in Forza Motorsport, press the Right Bumper (RB) for Xbox and the Tab button for PC.

There are five camera views in the game:

  1. Chase Near
  2. Chase Far
  3. Driver
  4. Cockpit
  5. Hood
  6. Bumper

The viewpoints for each of those are self-explanatory. Chase Near and Chase Far are your typical third-person-like views in racing games, with near being closer and far being far.

The camera choice is based on preference but most choose between Chase Near and Far.

Changing the camera view will bring the FOV to the nearest or farthest position and follow the exact same sequence as in other racing games. Likewise, it always boots up with a default view, Cockpit, but you can also change the default POV in Forza Motorsport every time you race.

How to change default camera setting in Forza Motorsport

If you want to change the default camera view in Forza Motorsport, follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Head onto the Gameplay & HUD tab.
  • Under the Camera section, there should be a Camera View option.
  • Pick your desired view and every race will start with the selected view.

What you choose depends purely on preference. If you’re new, it is a toss between Chase Far or Chase Near POV; for higher skill, more precise, and immersive driving, Cockpit is good.
