How to unlock Underworld Dash in Fortnite

You can unlock Underworld Dash in Fortnite by visiting POIs with green water bodies and dipping in them or by defeating Cerberus in Grim Gate. While the first method is temporary, the latter is permanent, and here’s a rundown of both:

Get three temporary Underworld Dash charges

In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, Epic Games introduced multiple POIs which correspond with the Greek mythology theme. Out of all these POIs, some represent the Underworld and have green water bodies. If you come across any of these POIs, make sure that you take a dip in the water.

When you do so, you will notice that there are three green skulls around you. Each skull represents one charge of the Underworld Dash ability and disappears whenever you trigger the ability.

Once you’ve exhausted all three charges, you will have to take another dip in the water to replenish your charges.

Get permanent Underworld Dash ability

You can head over to Grim Gate and defeat Cerberus in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 to collect his Aspect of Agility medallion. When you do so, you will gain an infinite supply of these Underworld Dash charges in Fortnite.

However, remember that you will have three charges at any given point. You will also have to wait for a short while before these charges replenish automatically.

How to use Underworld Dash in Fortnite

To use the Underworld Dash in Fortnite, press the “Jump” key twice. For PC the default key bind for this is “Spacebar” and for consoles, it’s “X“.

When triggered, you will dash a few meters in the direction that you were moving previously, which can come in handy if you’re in the middle of a gunfight and you need to get out quickly.

How to get effects of The River Styx in Fortnite

To complete the Rise of Midas Quest that asks you to “Damage opponents while under the effects of The River Styx,” all you need to do is dive in the River Styx to get the Underworld Dash, and damage opponents while you still have green skulls around you.

We recommend not spending Underworld Dash charges until you’ve completed the mission, so you can progress with ease.
