How to destroy objects & structures on Grind Rail in Fortnite: Quest guide & locations
One of the Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 2 Weekly Quests tasks you with destroying objects and structures while on a Grind Rail, and here’s a breakdown of how to get this done.
Epic Games add new Quests for Fortnite players to tackle every week in Chapter 4, Season 2, and completing these allows you to earn bonus XP that will help you level up fast in the battle royale title.
New Quests arrived in Week 4 of Chapter 4, Season 2, including one that requires you to destroy objects and structures while you are on a Grind Rail. We’ll go over how to complete this Fortnite Quest.
Where to find Grind Rails in Fortnite
You can find Grind Rails at Fortnite’s Mega City POI which is located on the south side of the island. These are large colorful rails at an elevated position that players can ride to move around the entire POI.
Mega City has a gas station that will be extremely useful in completing this Weekly Quest. You can look at the exact location of the Mega City POI on the map below, courtesy of Fortnite.GG.

You can get on the Grind Rail by jumping on it and pressing the interact button. You should then pull out your weapon and start using it to cause destruction while you’re on the move.
You need to destroy 25 objects or structures for this Quest. Explosive weapons are great for this task, but there is a simple way to complete this Quest, and that’s by blowing up the gas station at Mega City while you’re riding the Grind Rail.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Visit Mega City.
- Ride the Grind Rail.
- Pull out a medium to long-range weapon.
- Shoot at the gas pump until it explodes.
Blowing up the gas pump will cause massive destruction in Fortnite.This will cause massive destruction in just a few shots. You can then quickly complete this challenge by destroying a few more objects and structures. Once that’s done, you’ll be awarded 12,000 XP.
