Epic Games keeps Fortnite ticking over with regular content drops, and the 24.20 update is next up. So, here are the full patch notes for the Fortnite 24.20 update and a look at everything included.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is well and truly underway, and fans have wasted no time getting to grips with the many fresh weapons introduced and learning the new POIs added to the island.

The developers have also kept players satisfied with regular updates, bringing new events and Quests to complete. With the Spring Breakout Easter event coming to an end, 24.20 is here to deliver even more exciting content to bridge the gap until Season 3.

Here’s a look at the Fortnite 24.20 update patch notes and break down everything expected to be included.

Fortnite 24.20 update release date & downtime

The Fortnite 24.20 update arrived on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. A period of downtime got underway at around 1 AM PT / 4 AM ET / 9 AM BST, where the servers went offline and players couldn’t join a match.

Fortnite 24.20 update brings Attack on Titan skins & Mythics

The Fortnite 24.20 patch marks the arrival of three different Attack on Titan skins for players to unlock. First is Eren Jaeger, who can be earned through a series of challenges available to anyone who purchased the Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass.

Then, two more characters from the iconic anime can be purchased from the in-game Item Shop – Mikasa and Levi Ackerman. These can be bought for 1,500 V-Bucks each, or in a bundle with both skins for 2,200 V-Bucks.

Attack on Titan-themed Mythic items have also been added to the map. The Omni-directional Mobility Gear used by The Scouts is a way of quickly traversing the island and attacking enemies with its built-in sword.

Then there’s the Thunder Spear, a deadly rocket launcher capable of dealing big damage. Both of these items can be found on the ground, in Chests, or in the new Scout Regiment Footlockers littered around the map.

Epic Games have shared the full Fortnite 24.20 update patch notes, so check them below:

Battle from Above: ODM Gear

Retrievable from the ground, Chests, and Scout Regiment Footlockers, put on Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) Gear. Having this apparatus equipped will give you the ability to grapple in the air and strike opponents below! After attacking with the built-in blades, you’ll immediately boost back into the air so you can grapple elsewhere… or hover and execute another attack.
Think you’ve mastered the ODM Gear? Try knocking down Titan Targets on the Island!

Fight Explosively: Thunder Spears

Also retrievable from the ground, Chests, and Scout Regiment Footlockers, Thunder Spears are arm-launched rockets designed to penetrate armored structures, detonating to damage enemies on both sides!

Jaeger’s Family Basement

Jaeger’s Family Basement has appeared on the Island! But just as this basement contains many secrets, its exact location in Anvil Square is a secret too. Find the location of this new nook in Anvil Square.
