EA FC 24 player shares “criminal” results after opening 100 Ultimate Team packs

In the EA FC 24 Ultimate Team community, there are two types of players: those who buy individual players on the Transfer Market and those who take a gamble and spend all their coins or EA FC Points on Ultimate Team packs. This is a quite risky technique as they can lose all their coins or points without getting even one of the few players with a 90+ OVR.
Before the release of EA FC 24, EA Sports revealed the odds for classic Ultimate Team packs, but recently a player took it upon themselves to open 100 3-Gold Rare packs and document what they received from each pack. The final results left the entire EA FC 24 Ultimate Team community in shock.

This Reddit user received a total of 300 EA FC 24 players, of which only 12 exceeded 86 OVR, accounting for 4% of the total players. It’s worth noting that this 4% is almost half of the probability percentage of an +86 player in a Premium Gold Pack, according to the data provided by EA Sports.
Another detail that surprised this user the most was the difference in percentage between 82 and 83 OVR players compared to 84 OVR players. The user received approximately 11% of players rated 82 and 83 OVR each, while the jump to 84 OVR significantly drops to 6.3%.
If we translate the data into percentages, after opening 300 packs, the probabilities are as follows:
- +86 OVR: 4%
- 80 – 85 OVR: 58.3%
- 75 – 79 OVR: 37.6%
The community quickly responded to the data, expressing shock and stating that the results found by the user were “absolutely criminal.” They also pointed out that the high OVR players weren’t stars that were useful in matches, but were actaully just “fodder cards” for SBCs.
Thanks to this user, you can get an approximate idea of the real probabilities of obtaining high overall players in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team. Despite the low percentage, it’s unlikely that anything will take away the thrill of opening a pack in the mode.
