Modern Warfare 3 receives new Aftermarket Parts every week to help players customize their weapons, but the latest arrival has left players furious with many claiming it needs an “immediate” nerf.

Modern Warfare 3 players have a wealth of options when building their ideal loadouts. Not only are there plenty of powerful and meta weapons to choose from, but there are also hundreds of attachments to alter their stats.

On top of all this, each week sees the release of a new Aftermarket Part as a reward for Weekly Challenges. These unique attachments can completely alter the look and feel of a gun and often become the go-to attachments in many builds.

In Season 2, Week 7 marked the arrival of the JAK Outlaw-277 Kit for the BAS-B in Modern Warfare 3, which turns it into a lever-action rifle that is deadly at close range, and players already feel it’s too OP.

Reddit user ‘TheZag90’ shared a post claiming that the “JAK Outlaw Kit is completely game-breaking” and that it’s “even better than the Longbow” with the Tyrant Kit equipped.

This is because it grants the Battle Rifle a “lightning fast ADS,” a “faster rate of fire than any Sniper,” and one-shot capabilities when hitting the upper body or head. They even added that the BAS-B is now the “best close-range weapon in the game BY FAR and needs an immediate hotfix.”

Plenty of other MW3 players responded to express their frustration, calling for the JAK Outlaw-277 Kit to be nerfed as soon as possible. Especially as the Longbow is also still dominating many smaller maps despite its recent nerf.

“Yeah, I’m not playing this game anymore. There are too many one-shot cheese weapons and bs in this game. I’m out,” said one angry reply, before another added: “Need to fix this s**t and the stupid ass longbow.”

The fact that the BAS-B can one-shot at close range with this attachment seemed to be the biggest sticking point for most fans, with some even claiming the game feels more like Hardcore as a result.

“Sounds like hardcore is slowly being rolled out to the masses. Gun by gun, kit by kit. Soon, the hardcore takeover will be complete,” added another reply.

Many MW3 players predicted that the devs would look to nerf the JAK Outlaw-277 Kit in the future following the backlash. They’ve been known to balance weapons and attachments in smaller updates, or we may have to wait until the larger Season 3 patch.
