New Aftermarket Parts have made their way to Modern Warfare 3 in Season 2, including the JAK Maglift Kit for the Haymaker Shotgun. The AMP was already deemed to be powerful by MW3 players, which is why they were shocked to see it receive a buff.

Modern Warfare 3 players received several buffs and nerfs with the Season 2 update that introduced players to the RAM-9 SMG and BP50 AR. Alongside the new weapons, MW3 Season 2 also delivered new Aftermarket Parts to unlock.

One of these new AMPs is called the JAK Maglift Kit and it’s made to be equipped with the Haymaker Shotgun. The powerful attachment primarily increases the weapon’s fire rate, allowing you to get more shots off in quick succession.

Since the weapon became available to unlock via Week 3 Challenges, players have deemed the Haymaker and JAK Maglift combination to be absolutely broken. For this reason, they were shocked to see the Aftermarket Part receive a buff with the February 21 update.

The patch notes for the update reveal that the JAK Maglift Kit had its rate of fire increased by a drastic 40%. While it also received slight nerfs to its ADS spread and pellet count, as the clip above demonstrates, the AMP and Shotgun combo remains incredibly powerful.

Players were quick to chime in with “It’s absolutely insane lol,” and “It is so insanely broken. I broke my kill record first game using it.”

Many MW3 players believe that it’s just a matter of time before the JAK Maglift Kit receives a substantial nerf to its fire rate, “I’m just using it until they inevitably patch it.”

While most were in shock at the decision to buff its fire rate in the February 21 update, others adopted a glass-half-full approach: “At the very least people can’t slap dragons breath onto this.”

We’ll let you know if the Haymaker’s AMP receives a nerf in the coming days, but for the time being, enjoy the close-range chaos in both MW3 and Warzone.
