Players that exploited the Key Glitch in Infinite Warfare banned for 48 hours, keys/salvage reset
UPDATE: Infinity Ward has stated players will have their keys and salvage reset in Infinite Warfare for exploiting the key glitch.
Infinity Ward has started issuing bans for players that exploited the Key Glitch in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The Key Glitch was during the 12 Days of Winter event, where Day 2’s Gift of 20 Keys could be exploited to open an infinite number of times.
Players are receiving a 48 hour ban, and it is unclear if the stats will be reset.
Activision Support site states that first offense bans will result in players being “temporarily suspended from playing the game online, will have their stats, emblems, and paintjobs reset, will have online split-screen privileges revoked, and will have their leaderboard entries deleted.”
That last part probably does not apply to Infinite Warfare, since there are no leaderboards in the game still.
