Warzone devs address major weapon complaint in Season 6 update
After various player complaints about the clarity of weapon fire rates in Warzone, the developers finally addressed the issue and have offered a fix in the Season 6 update.
As we enter the final season of Warzone and Black Ops Cold War‘s integration, which will also see the end of Verdansk, the developers have brought many new updates and changes to the battle royale.
As well as weapon buffs and nerfs, Season 6 has also introduced some quality-of-life changes, one of which concerns the fire-rate clarity of weapons, which players had been complaining about for some time.
In the past, players have complained that a weapons fire rate has not been clear enough on-screen, causing them to expect a weapon to be fully automatic when it is really a burst.
With so many weapons available to players in Warzone, and both Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War weapons presenting their fire-rate types differently on screen, players have been asking for a more universal and clear indication of whether a weapon is burst, single fire, or automatic.
Thankfully the Season 6 update brings this long-awaited change.
Warzone Season 6 loot card update
Starting in Season 6, the developers have added more information about the fire type of every weapon’s loot card in Warzone.
The loot cards are the boxes with information about the weapon that comes up when you’re hovering over them.
- Loot Cards
- The visual style of all loot cards has been updated!
- In addition to this change, we’ve added information about the fire type of a Weapon to each loot card.
- This will allow Players to observe if a Weapon is automatic, semi-automatic, or burst before committing to it, without having to fire test shots or lose their next engagement.
This will help with those situations where players pick up floor loot, not knowing exactly how the weapon works, as now they will be able to see whether the gun is burst, automatic, or single fire before they pick it up.
