Warzone Season 6 will be the end of Verdansk map
Raven Software has confirmed that Warzone Season 6 will be the last time players will be in Verdansk with the classic map being replaced.
With only Warzone entering Season 6, Raven Software has confirmed that this will be the last season in Verdansk.
For over a year, Call of Duty: Warzone has taken place on the same map: Verdansk. With each new season, the face of Verdansk has seen minor and significant changes. From bombs being dropped to POIs caving in, Verdanks looks a lot different than it once was.
However, it has also retained a lot of the same features. Because of this, players have been asking for a brand new map for the better part of a year. Even the addition of Rebirth Island didn’t satisfy the need for a new map.
Recently, Raven Software revealed a brand new map coming to Warzone with the integration of Call of Duty: Vanguard. But with Warzone’s massive file size, players wondered how they could squeeze a second map in. Spoiler Alert: it won’t.
Warzone Season 6 is the last time in Verdansk
In a recent promo for the Warzone Season 6 Gulag, Raven Software confirmed that “Season 6 will be our last time in Verdansk.” This means that at the end of Season 6, players won’t be able to play on the Verdansk map anymore.
For many players, this is a dream come true. Verdansk has had a considerable lifespan, but we’re seeing more players leave the traditional BR mode for Rebirth Island.
Warzone’s player base has already started to dwindle due to the invasion of hackers, and a new map might be what Warzone needs to win players back.
That being said, Verdansk will be missed. It is where players made their first memories in Warzone, and its POIs are very well crafted. While we don’t know the exact end date for Season 6, players should soak in their last moments in Verdansk.
That being said, we have a lot to look forward to with the new map. The Warzone Pacific map is an entirely new map set on an island in the Pacific Ocean. Unlike Verdansk, it is a lush tropical landscape the likes of which Warzone has never seen.
But what do you think? Are you excited about Verdansk’s removal, or do you want it to stay? Let us know your thoughts on our Charlie INTEL Facebook Page and Charlie INTEL Twitter Page!
