FaZe Swagg confirms content creators will stream Warzone 2 at Call of Duty Next
Call of Duty Next will finally reveal Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer, Warzone 2, and more, and top FaZe streamer Kris ‘Swagg’ Lamberson has confirmed that the invited streamers will be playing Warzone 2.
Although there are a ton of leaks surrounding Warzone’s sequel, ‘Warzone 2.0’, including a bag system, Strongholds, and classic maps, nobody really knows what the upcoming Call of Duty battle royale will look like.
The Call of Duty Next event is being streamed on September 15, and over 150 content creators are invited to play Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer but it sounds like we’ll see much more than that. FaZe Swagg confirmed that they’ll be playing and streaming Warzone 2.
Swagg tweeted his streaming schedule for the week on September 12, saying, “MW2 beta this weekend and get to play/stream Warzone 2.”
Activision haven’t outright confirmed that these content creators will be playing Warzone 2 yet, only that there will be “a multitude of your favorite streamers at the event, playing the games in real time.”
Then, with the Modern Warfare 2 beta rewards blog, Activision said that “More than 150 of your favorite streamers will be in attendance, ready to squad up, drop in, and play.” This sounds more like the Warzone experience than multiplayer, and Swagg has now confirmed that streamers and content creators will indeed be playing and streaming Warzone 2.
This means that we’ll not only learn about Warzone 2’s design, but also see how it plays in real-time, what the map looks like up close, and hear what the content creators think.
Be sure to tune into the Call of Duty Next stream to see the first ever match of Warzone 2, and whether your favorite content creator will come out on top.
