Modern Warfare 2 beta players have been wondering why they are unable to move the Chopper Gunner Killstreak similar to previous Call of Duty games.

The Modern Warfare 2 beta has been a great success, with the community being able to test the multiplayer early and give their feedback to the devs, who worked on fixing issues in beta weekend two.

Now that the beta has come to an end, players will need to wait until October 28 to experience the game again. This should give Infinity Ward some valuable time to work on the game.

Of course, as it’s a beta, Modern Warfare 2 players noticed quite a few bugs and issues with the game, including the UI and menus. However, one issue that hasn’t been covered much is the fact that players were unable to move the Chopper Gunner Killstreak around like in previous titles.

According to ModernWarzone, they can “confirm” that this is actually a bug, as they were lucky enough to play Modern Warfare 2 early back in “June at the Infinity Ward studios.”

After seeing concerns regarding the Chopper Gunner not being able to move in the Modern Warfare 2 beta, ModernWarzone decided to clarify that they could manually “fly it around” just like in “previous games” when they played an early build of the game.

This will certainly make it a lot easier to use, as the ability to move it around means that players can get more angles on the enemy, especially if spawns are flipped.

Although this is a relief, it seems players are slightly more concerned about the Chopper Gunner’s effectiveness on certain maps, as one comment under the post says: “A bigger concern is that most of the maps are closed off from the top making killstreaks like chopper gunners ineffective.”

Hopefully, players being able to move the Chopper Gunner will help this issue, but we’ll have to wait until the game launches to find out. For more, check out what Dr Disrespect and TimTheTatman think is the game’s biggest fault.
