It didn’t take long for players to discover the presence of a possible FOV slider option on console as Modern Warfare 2 players accessed files from the game’s beta.

Early access for the Modern Warfare 2 beta is set to kick off on September 16, one day after the Call of Duty Next event. However, PlayStation users were able to preload the beta as of September 14.

This has caused players to access files from the beta ahead of its release. This unexpected access has allowed players to dive into some of Modern Warfare 2 settings where the discovery of a FOV slider option has been revealed.

Of course, this shouldn’t come as a major surprise to players as Vanguard also came equipped with a console FOV slider. However, it seems the option to adjust settings for a third-person field of view is also included in Modern Warfare 2.

While this FOV slider option was found via a PlayStation 5 user, it’s safe to assume it will also be present on Xbox consoles. PlayStation users have early access to the Modern Warfare 2 beta, which explains the recent discovery.

Will Modern Warfare 2 have an FOV slider for last gen consoles?

PlayStation 4 users can rest easy, as it seems the beta settings for Modern Warfare 2 also include an FOV slider option on the previous generation console.

With Modern Warfare 2 beta settings confirming an FOV slider option on console, the major question on everyone’s mind is if this feature will carry over to Warzone 2 for consoles.

At this point, it’s too early to draw any connections between the two. Warzone 2 will be a brand-new iteration of the battle royale, so we’ll have to wait and see what the devs have planned for the highly requested FOV slider feature.
