Call of Duty: Mobile Season 1

Activision have revealed new details about what we can expect to see in Call of Duty: Mobile when Season 1 goes live on January 26. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming update.

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 13 is almost over, and a new update is planned to start 2021 with a bang. Activision considers the upcoming Season to be a fresh new start so they’ve called it Season 1, instead of Season 14.

Now, the devs have given us a closer look at the latest community update. They revealed that Season 1 is officially titled New Order, and showed off some of the exciting new content that will be added to the Battle Royale.

With the new Season set to begin on January 26, we’ll go over everything that’s confirmed by the developers so far.

New weapons in Call of Duty: Mobile Season 1

Two new weapons were revealed for New Order earlier this week through some teasers. The Famas burst rifle and SKS marksman rifle were originally in Modern Warfare, and will now be making their way to COD: Mobile Season 1.

Activision has now revealed some new details about these weapons – including how to unlock them in the game. The Famas burst assault rifle will become available to you right away if you own the Season One battle pass.

The second weapon can be unlocked by completing a new seasonal challenge, which makes it similar to the QXR from last Season. These are both ideal choices for long-range combat situations, so be sure to get them when the update goes live.

New COD: Mobile Season 1 multiplayer map

Activision teased a map earlier today that closely resembles one from the previous test builds, and now they’ve revealed a brand-new one that will be a part of Season 1. They initially tested it on a public test server in December 2020.

The medium-sized area is an abandoned city that will be a new addition to the COD universe. The developers compared it to Cage from earlier Seasons, and the infrastructure has been ruined over time.

You’ll be able to take on other players in a shopping district that’s filled with unfinished holiday decorations. This multiplayer map might be titled Rebirth, and you can expect to run into enemies around every corner.

New game modes in COD: Mobile Season 1

We found that Attack of the Undead would be returning to COD: Mobile in the last public test. This mode has the undead try to kill a group of survivors before the time runs out, while the latter try to survive until the end of the round.

The game mode starts with 2 randomly selected players who are zombies, and they’ll have access to a proper loadout. This sounds fun enough on its own, but now the devs have confirmed that a new Battle Royale mode will also be introduced in New Order.

They haven’t revealed details about it, but have reassured fans that we’ll see that information soon. They also mentioned that their goal is to have multiple limited-time BR modes ready to try for most of the Season.

Bug fixes and other changes in COD: Mobile Season 1

As expected, there are a variety of bug fixes planned for the update. While we don’t have specifics about what will be worked on, the devs reassured fans that they’ve listened to complaints. So, there will be a great focus on detailed bug reports and feedback.

Activision also answered a few fan questions that have been asked about Season 1 throughout the previous community updates. Through this, they were able to confirm some exciting new things about New Order.

Ghost and few other operators will be getting new voiceovers in this update. The Season will also focus on having a fantastical theme, with much of the gameplay revolving around the use of futuristic tech. So they’re moving away from the military theme.

There were rumors that the Overkill perk would be added in this update, but it seems that the developers have no plan to implement it anytime soon.

“No, have no intention of adding this perk until we feel weapons are nearly perfectly balanced due to how much it would affect weapon balance.”

We also won’t be seeing any major Gunsmith updates in the upcoming season, but they did write that “there are aspects of this being tweaked constantly and some of that should be coming soon.”

That covers everything we know so far about Call of Duty: Mobile New Order. With Season One just around the corner, we can expect to hear more news within the coming week. Once we do, we’ll be sure to update you.
