It appears the crossover between the world of Modern Warfare and Black Ops is set to happen soon.

Data miners have found files after this week’s Season 4 Reloaded update that suggests Black Ops’ Frank Woods character will become an Operator in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone in the future.

The files have numerous references to ‘Woods’ alongside several audio files, which confirm it is in fact Black Ops’ Woods character coming to the game.

The audio files found appear to be related to the player execution variants that will be available for him. Here’s some of the audio files that have been found and compiled into one video.

With Call of Duty: Warzone being free to play, and rumors suggesting that Warzone will cary over into the 2020 Call of Duty game, having Black Ops characters as Operators would make sense for the title.

In addition, another set of files has been found which also has audio of numbers that mention Ascension, alongside other things from the Black Ops world. It could be hinting that the 2020 game will be teased via Warzone.

Numbers mentioned include, which appear to be from Black Ops 1’s campaign and intro:

  • 54 23 5 11 19 45 7
  • Ascension 7 15 1 2 19 7 25 6 13 6 7 15 14 0

Infinity Ward has said that Warzone will be a ‘constant‘ for the Call of Duty franchise going forward, but it’s not clear exactly how it will work.

Activision has not announced in details on the 2020 Call of Duty title still, as we enter July. The company usually has revealed titles by the end of May, but this year has been different. The title is expected to be Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, per reports.
