Flamethrower coming to Black Ops Cold War

Get ready for the heat. It looks like a new scorestreak, or potential weapon, is coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War at some point in the future.

The Flamethrower, which has been in previous Black Ops games as a Specialist Bonus attachment, appears to be returning for Black Ops Cold War.

Activision shared a new official screenshot of Black Ops Cold War to coincide with the launch of Raid MP map, and the image showcases a player holding a Flamethrower:

The same image of the Flamethrower can also be seen in Call of Duty’s tweet announcing the start of Double XP:

Previously, the Flamethrower was a bonus specialist weapon level up for Firebreak in Black Ops 3 and 4.

There were rumors prior to the launch of Black Ops Cold War that the Flamethrower would be a new scorestreak in game. A list of streaks that leaked before launch showcased the Flamethrower as an option, but it never made it to the game at launch. This could be a tease for the next scorestreak to come, potentially later in Season One in January.

Activision has not taken down either of the images, so this could be the studio hinting to fans about the next scorestreak to arrive.

As always, stay tuned for updates on this.
