Battlefield has always been known for its satisfying Sniping, and it returns in Battlefield 2042 thanks to the large-scale maps. Players will start out with the SWS-10 Sniper Rifle, so here’s the loadout, Specialist, and Gadget to use to make the best Battlefield 2042 SWS-10 loadout.
Battlefield 2042 has some massive maps, where tornadoes and failed rocket launches can completely change the flow of the game. Of course, huge maps means that there’s plenty of opportunity for good-old-fashioned Battlefield sniping.
The SWS-10 is the first Sniper Rifle you’ll get your hands on, and it’s an extremely solid choice. We’ve got everything you need to create the best sniper loadout, including attachments, the Specialist, and Gadget.

Best Battlefield 2042 SWS-10 loadout attachments
- Barrel: 6KU Suppressor
- Sight: M11 6x / Raven 4x
- Ammo: Standard Issue
- Underbarrel: Cobra Grip
This bolt action Sniper Rifle loadout is built to dominate the long-range engagements of Battlefield 2042’s Orbital. Of course, with the Plus System, you can change up the weapon when necessary, but this is the best base.
We’re starting with the 6KU Suppressor Barrel attachment. This will keep your shots quiet and hide you from the mini-map, which is extremely useful when picking off several targets. The only negative is slightly lower damage, but it will still one-shot headshot.
Next, it’s a toss-up between the M11 6x and the Raven 4x. They’re equally strong in different situations, so you should use the Plus System to change attachments depending on your need.
For Ammo, we found the Standard Issue to be the best option. While the Close Combat mag does give you more shots and a faster fire rate, it lowers the SWS-10’s firepower and accuracy. If you find yourself caught in a close-range battle, however, simply attach the Close Combat mag.
And finally, the Cobra Grip is a solid choice for Underbarrel. It reduces weapon sway while static, so long-range shots are a little easier to land.
Best Specialist to use with the SWS-10 in Battlefield 2042
If long-range Sniping is your go-to, Casper is the perfect Specialist to run with the best Battlefield 2042 SWS-10 loadout. He’s Battlefield 2042’s first Recon Specialist, and his abilities complement the playstyle.
While his OV-P Recon Drone is useful for spotting enemies, his Movement Sensor Trait is even better. He’ll know when enemies are nearby, which is great for sneaking onto points and countering anyone trying to come up behind you.
Best Gadget to use with the SWS-10 in Battlefield 2042
We recommend using the Ammo Crate Gadget in the best Battlefield 2042 SWS-10 loadout, as you’re likely to run out of ammo after picking off several targets. Being able to restock your ammo will prevent you from needing to get into close-range fights, which is where the SWS-10 starts to struggle.
How to unlock the SWS-10 in Battlefield 2042
There are no requirements for unlocking the SWS-10 in Battlefield 2042, as it is available from the get-go.
Having said that, you will need to get kills with it to unlock all the attachments.
Those are the ideal attachments, Specialist, and Gadget to make the best SWS-10 loadout in Battlefield 2042.
