“Easy” Baldur’s Gate 3 boss is ending Honour Mode runs after huge buff

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been one of the biggest releases of recent times and people are still singing the Game of the Year 2023 winner’s praises to this day. Due to its intricate character design and innovative storyline, BG3 has been highly rated ever since its release.
Larian Studios might not have received many complaints about the game, but they have released a fair few patches to improve the in-game experience. The recent Patch 6 included some QoL updates and changes, but also buffed up some bosses like Cazador in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Reddit user “YasuKenji” posted about this on the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit as they were surprised at how Cazador became capable enough to defeat them after the latest patch. “I didn’t realize how much they buffed him,” added the OP.
“I just lost to Cazador despite beating him twice; once in tactician and another in Honour. So I came into his battle with low expectations in my next honour run. But when I literally do anything, his vampirism swarm took out my grouped teammates and I lost my honour run,” explained the OP.
In Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 6, Cazador was significantly buffed, especially for Honour Mode runs, which is why the OP was surprised at the outcome. “He got me in my last HM run. I’m in Act 3 now and hesitant to go for him again. It was my fault though, I just kept making bad decisions,” mentioned another player, while others added how “Cazador went from easy free XP to get to level 12 faster to an actual boss.”
“Speaking of bad decisions, I thought I could push him off the stage but he countered me hard,” shared one player as they were defeated by buffed Cazador as well. “He is the one I fear the most. Astarion was right about Cazador’s power,” added another player.
