Larian Studios hid many secret locations throughout Baldur’s Gate 3 map, and players can’t believe they missed so many areas that were seemingly impossible to get into. Here’s what the Baldur’s Gate 3 community said about them.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has an extensive map with plenty of secrets that players may discover while traveling through Faerun. While most areas are usually described cryptically in notes, letters, and even books scattered across every Act, players were surprised to realize that they missed these mysterious areas.

After Redditor ‘Alrumaih7’ started a thread called “Holy sh*t, I almost missed this area,” players confessed to being shocked after discovering that they actually missed lots of content during their playthroughs.

“I had absolutely no clue what was going on with the mushroomies. I found the temple in Act 1 there with the lasers that nuked a minotaur, but that looked spooky, so I noped the hell out of there, never to return,” described Redditor ‘Pariah,’ who admitted to missing the first part of the Underdark.

Other Baldur’s Gate 3 fans agreed that they’ve missed everything related to the Underdark and admitted to “regret” following the main campaign route without exploring what seemed to be dead ends.

A Redditor called ‘Ryan_Fleming’ listed everything they discovered during their second playthrough, even after putting in more than 150 hours during their first run in Baldur’s Gate 3. “So far, I’ve discovered: Harpy fight near the Grove, Kagha and the Shadow Druids, Save Nere quest (I accidentally let him die), House leading to cellars under Last Light, Winged Horrors on the roof of Moonrise, The Festering Cove, the entire Water Queen quest,” they said.

“It blows my mind that there are people on this sub who are doing their 3rd and 4th playthroughs and are still finding new content, dialog, scenes, etc. Not to mention the fact that you can explore every single inch and every quest, but still get to unlock even more content by doing a dark urge run, or a paladin run, an oathbreaker run, etc,” commented Redditor ‘CatDealer.’

Fans pointed out that there are even some secret landscapes that can only be entered after passing some Perception checks, and wondered if there are still some secrets in Baldur’s Gate 3 that players haven’t found yet. “Sometimes it makes me sad to see all that work put into the area design, and we can’t even go there thanks to convenient crevasses,” admitted Redditor ‘MercenaryJames.’

And that’s some of the secret locations Baldur’s Gate 3 fans regret missing. If you want to know more about Larian Studios ‘RPG, you can check what “cheat” a player uses to survive in Honour Mode and which character is the most hated in Faerun.
