Larian Studios hid a couple of Baldur’s Gate 3 strongest monsters inside items, and players were shocked to find out that they were forgetting about a flask that could finish the game’s hardest battles in seconds.

Baldur’s Gate 3 players already know that there’s a universe of items that contain secrets in Faerun. While some are explicitly labeled and are used for the main quest, others will only unleash their full potential after adventurers examine them.

Similar to what happens when discovering the Pixie inside the Moon Lantern, players were surprised to find that the Iron Flash obtained during Act 1 has inside one of the most powerful creatures in Baldur’s Gate 3.

In a Reddit post called “Shout out to the Iron Flask’s goodest boy, who helped trivialize the hardest fight in the game (for me),” adventurers described that after opening the Flask, they’ve found a Spectator. These enormous creatures can be normally found in the Underdark, but players who take the cargo in the “Missing Shipment” quest can get one inside an Iron Flask to liberate whenever they want.

“In BG3, the Iron Flask is a one-time use item. You throw it, and a Spectator spawns, which is hostile to everyone. But if a bunch of your enemies are next to it, and you’re far away, the AI will make it fight your enemies for you,” explained user ‘Lithl.’

Some players confessed to having already tried throwing the Spectator at their enemies, and they managed to sail through some of the hardest battles in the game. “This guy is the only reason I got through that Shar’s Temple fight in Act 3. I was getting my *ss handed to me with all the darkness spread,” commented Redditor ‘jwd64.’

In order to get the Iron Flask, Baldur’s Gate 3 players explained that adventurers would need to battle the Gnolls during Act 1, and then rummage through the cargo locked inside the cave (X: -10, Y: 513). If a character named Rugan survives the battle, then they’ll need to either persuade or intimidate him before getting the Caravan Strongbox.

And that’s everything on how Baldur’s Gate 3 players find out about the OP creature locked inside the Iron Flask. If you want to know more about Larian Studios’ RPG, you can check what broken item players just found after 500 hours, and where to find Gale’s cat, Tara.
