Baldur’s Gate 3 has many useful items for players, and some of them require a little more searching than others. If you’re struggling to find enough camp supplies, a player has found something that will help you get a good long rest.

Long rests in Baldur’s Gate 3 are the only way players can get all their spell slots and some other abilities back. Sometimes finding enough camp supplies can prove to be a difficult task. Especially in Honour Mode and Tactician difficulty, where they are few-and-far-between.

This means you have to be extra careful when you take long rests, which can make the game even more challenging – especially if you are playing a casting-heavy character. One Baldur’s Gate 3 player, however, found a relatively rare item that could circumvent this issue: a Heavy Supply Pack.

After playing for 500 hours, ‘yoboililj’ posted to Reddit about their find. “Just running to the door with using L3 and saw a Heavy Supply Pack sitting on a shelf,” they said.

The Heavy Supply Pack can be found in Danthelon’s Dancing Axe in Act 3, sitting on a shelf unassumingly. When you pick it up and inspect it, players will notice that it gives 80 camp supplies instead of the 40 that comes with a normal supply pack.

Baldur’s Gate 3 fans in the comments mentioned that they didn’t know the pack existed either, some of them having reached up to 1000 hours of playtime. Some, though, questioned what the use of one pack giving you 80 supplies could be, since you only need 40 for a long rest.

“I’m trying to think of why that would ever be needed, tho. Like, is there ever a reason to use more than 40 camp supplies? Is there a buff I’m unaware of?” one player asked.

While this is true for lower difficulties, higher difficulties like Tactician and Honour Mode require players to use 80 camp supplies for a full long rest.

So, if you are playing through Baldur’s Gate 3 on a higher difficulty mode, keep in mind where to find this pack. Although it’s later in the game, it could make the difference between an unrested party and one who is ready to take on the big fights of Act 3.
