Rare ending Baldur's Gate 3

A Baldur’s Gate 3 player accidentally unlocked a super rare ending that might even be unknown to the devs. The results are hilarious and have players calculating the odds of this happening again.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has some of the most incredible features seen in an RPG in years, with memorable companions, incredibly strong enemies, and even lovable pets. There are also a ton of possible endings you can unlock by following your playthrough the way you want to.

The liberty to play the game however you want was further proven by a Reddit user who posted a weird, and incredibly rare ending that their fiancee managed to achieve. Beware, as there are story spoilers ahead.

Reddit user gwiguig shared images of a supposed “secret cat ending,” thought to only be achievable either by mistake or a combination of terrible luck and poor choice of spells.

According to the OP, their fiancee managed to accomplish this by triggering the Feature Wild Magic of the Sorcerer subclass, turning everyone in the party into cats and dogs. At the same time, these feline warriors managed to defeat the big bad evil and trigger the ending of the game, with cats smiling happily at the camera.

One of the players commenting on this post said: “I hope the devs get to see what they’ve achieved here.” Certainly, they should see the results of their work. Another player answered: “That’s f**king awesome.”

Another Baldur’s Gate 3 player demanded to see video footage of this incredibly rare ending: “That’s way too amazing, hope there’s video for it, must be viral.” Unfortunately, gwiguig expressed that they didn’t have enough time to react and record it. They might have been too busy laughing about this once-in-a-lifetime ending.

While replicating this ending might be impossible, as the chances of this happening again with the Wild Magic feature are incredibly low, we highly encourage you to try and post the results.
