Apex Legends player creates brilliant way to identify friendly abilities

When you’re in a game of Apex Legends, you’ll need to distinguish friendly abilities and grenades from enemy ones. Now, one player has come up with a clever way to tell the difference.

Apex Legends matches can become extremely chaotic due to the wide variety of characters in the game with different abilities and weapons. You, your squad, and your enemies will by using different attacks left and right.

When you’re fighting in a small area, it can become difficult to tell which attacks to avoid. One player has come up with a way to tracking these abilities so that you know which ones are hostile, and which are your teammates’.

Distinguishing between friendly and enemy abilities can be extremely difficult, but Reddit user wave_panda has created a concept that solves this problem.

First, they’ve added a section titled “Ally Tactical Color” under Gameplay settings. You can use this to color code-friendly Tactical attacks in red or blue.

The clip in the Apex Legends subreddit showcased Caustic‘s Nox Gas as an example, with the green gas being illuminated with a blue hue. This would help teammates identify his attacks and avoid any confusion.

This post received thousands of upvotes, as many fans agreed that this is an extremely useful feature to have in the game.

“I’d love the idea of indicators to let us know what utilities are friendly and which are the enemies,” noted one player. This would also be useful for helping identify friendly thermite grenades and other throwables.

Since Respawn are already working on Apex Legends Season 9, we hope to see them introduce a similar system to the battle royale.
