Apex Legends players have long been awaiting the ability to gift their friends skins and other items, and the new Gifting feature finally arrives with the Season 15: Eclipse update.

Like most other live service games, Apex Legends has wealth of skins and other items to purchase and equip. But with so many cosmetics out there, you might want to share some with your friends or community.

That will become a possibility with the Season 15 update, which was officially announced on October 17. Arriving on November 1, this update takes players to the new moon map and introduces Legend Catalyst, while also allowing players to gift each other skins. Here’s how it all works.

When is Gifting coming to Apex Legends?

After a developer teased they were working on Gifting ahead of Season 14, the feature finally arrives with the Season 15 update on November 1, 2022.

How to Gift in Apex Legends

Gifting is simple in Apex Legends, you just need to find the item you wish to gift in the Store, and press the new ‘Gift’ button instead of the regular purchase. You’ll then have to enter your friends ID, regardless of platform, and it’ll be there waiting for them the next time they log in.

While simple in practice, there are a few prerequisites you must meet before you can gift skins. Here are the rules:

  • Have Login Verification turned on
  • Be at least account level 10
  • Your account must be in good standing
  • Be friends with the player you wish to send or receive gifts from
  • Be friends with the other player for at least two weeks
  • You can only gift up to five items every 24 hours

Anything from the Store you purchase with Apex Coins can be Gifted in Apex Legends 15, including single weapon skins, Legends skins, and even full bundles.

There’s no word if players can gift their friends the Battle Pass, a feature available in Fortnite and Call of Duty, but we should know more when the season officially goes live on November 1.
