Apex Legends Season 17 Legend & Smart Pistol accidentally leaked by devs
After announcing the new Apex Legends Collection Event, it seems Respawn accidentally revealed the new Legend coming in Season 17.
Apex Legends is set to get a brand-new Collection Event in Season 16 called “Veiled,” which boasts a new Prestige skin for Caustic, loads of cosmetics, and a new LTM.
While the focus was meant to be on the new event, it seems the devs made a critical error with the blog post for the Apex Legends Veiled Collection Event, as an image of the Season 17 Legend was accidentally pushed live, and then quickly removed.
While the devs were quick to respond, so were the community, as many managed to screenshot and expose the error online.
While leaks suggested the Season 17 Legend would be an older character known in the game’s code as Ballistic, it now seems confirmed as the blog post revealed art of the new Legend that matches the leaks.
This image was shared early on the Apex Legends Veiled Collection Event, showing off the Season 17 Legend, who seems to be shooting a pistol that will likely be a part of their kit. According to leaks, this could be his “Smart Pistol,” which has tracking bullets that debuff the enemy.
Leaker Kralindo was quick to repost the image, and also suggest that Season 17 will be called “Arsenal,” as that’s what the image link infers.
It’s likely this was an error, and perhaps Respawn will come out and say something about the potential blunder or perhaps it’s part of another plan to throw players off much like the death of Forge.
