Call of Duty: Warzone 2
Warzone expert reveals Owen Gun loadout that makes Season 3 nerfs pointless
Despite receiving several nerfs throughout Warzone Season 3, the Owen Gun SMG is still as dominant as ever.
In an attempt to balance the powerful Owen Gun SMG, the Warzone devs hit the weapon with several nerfs in Season 3, but it remains one of the best close-range options in the game.
Warzone Season 3 has seen several Vanguard SMGs emerge as the most dominant weapons in the game. Whether you’re playing on Caldera or Rebirth Island, Vanguard SMGs with incredibly fast TTK are simply impossible to ignore.
Although the H4 Blixen currently holds the highest K/D ratio in the game, it’s the king of Season 2 that is firing on all cylinders at the moment. One Warzone expert has revealed an Owen Gun loadout that makes it feel as though it never received nerfs throughout Season 3.
The Owen Gun utterly destroyed the competition in Warzone Season 2 and the devs attempted to correct this by nerfing it heavily during Season 3. It was hit in the Season 3 update, a May 4 update, and again in the Season 3 Reloaded update.
Despite its damage multiplier and range decreasing, Warzone expert TheKoreanSavage has made it seem like the Owen Gun never received a single nerf by creating a unique loadout, “it’s a class setup most of you guys probably don’t really use.”
TheKoreanSavage’s Warzone Owen Gun loadout
- Muzzle: M1929 Silencer
- Barrel: Hockenson 142mm Rapid
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: Gawain H4 Folding
- Underbarrel: m1941 Hand Stop
- Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 72 Round Drums
- Ammo Type: Hollow Point
- Rear Grip: Rubber Grip
- Perk: Acrobatic
- Perk 2: Quick
TheKoreanSavage explains, “the Owen Gun has been neglected recently after it’s been nerfed a bunch of times,” but the gameplay proves that the weapon is still capable of dominating as it used to.
Straight away you should notice that he has omitted the popular Recoil Booster attachment for the M1929 Silencer. This will improve recoil control along with increasing the damage range, which is needed after the nerfs to its range.
Another unique addition is the Gawain H4 Folding in favor of the Removed Stock as this will make it easier to hit targets that aren’t incredibly close. With its damage range nerfed, this stock will make the Owen Gun easier to control for distant targets.
Along the same lines, Rubber Grip also makes it easier to handle, while Acrobatic balances the weapon by improving movement speed lost by using these attachments.
