A frustrating Warzone 2 glitch is completely skipping the game’s ‘downed’ mechanic, sending players straight to the Gulag or Spectator screen even if they have teammates that are alive. Luckily, the devs have responded to the frustrating issue.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 finally launched on November 16, allowing players to experience everything that the new Al Mazrah map has to offer. While players get used to the new looting mechanics and Proximity Chat, a few frustrating issues have got in the way.

Players are having trouble partying up because of a broken social tab, and some are dying straight away when they should have been downed. The Warzone 2 devs have now confirmed they’re investigating the issue that’s instantly killing players without downing them.

If you have teammates alive you’d expect to be downed instead of immediately killed, but that isn’t the case in Warzone 2 at launch. Instead, there are instances where players are sent straight to the Gulag or Spectator screen even if they have teammates alive or a Self Revive.

Of course, it’s frustrating for the player who’s getting immediately killed, but it also makes team fights more confusing as a player immediately dying usually indicates a Team Wipe, but not anymore.

Raven Software, who took over the original Warzone after Cold War was released, are supporting Warzone 2 and they have responded to the issue. They’ve created a card on their Trello board of known issues for “Skipping Downed Phase,” explaining that they are “investigating” an issue where “Some Players are Eliminated in situations where they should have been Downed.”

There’s no confirmation of when players can expect a fix, but there should be another patch coming soon to address other issues such as the broken social tab, the missing Squad Widget, and more.
