The popular streamer Nickmercs shows off his best Kar98k class.

Snipers in Warzone have always been prominent in the overall meta. When Warzone was originally released, the HDR was the sniper of choice but was quickly overtaken by the Kar98k, which sports much more mobility.

Throughout the Warzone seasons, players have flexed between sniper and submachine gun secondary weapons, eventually landing at shotguns for season 5. Now for season 6, there is much more of a balance of weapons across the board.

While the Kar98 isn’t as long-ranged as an HDR or useful at close range like a shotgun or submachine gun, it’s a great medium-range weapon for accurate players. You’ll often hit 1 shot headshots on unsuspecting enemies or crack enemy armor before a team fight.

Precision and discipline are useful skills for players looking to use the Kar98k, and reward awaits anyone who masters the art of the shot. Nickmercs is the perfect example of such a player. Here’s his loadout.

  • Optic: Sniper Scope
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Barrel: Singuard Arms Custom
  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor

Nickmercs class is based on mobility and precision. The Tac Laser and Stippled Grip Tape give extra aim down sight speed, making the weapon’s aiming snappy for easy headshots. Aim down sight times from sprinting are also improved, which is vital when you need the weapon in a hurry.

The Singuard Arms Custom barrel, in combination with the Monolithic Suppressor, gives the Kar98k maximum range. Combining the sniper scope gives you a clear image of enemies at longer ranges for more precise shots.

You’ll want to pair up this sniper with an Assault Rifle or submachine gun of choice. Nickmercs has been using the ASVAL with this weapon, so it might be worth checking out. You can catch this loadout in action in Nickmercs YouTube video below.

With the next Season of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone coming December 16, it might be worth trying out the Kar98k before the Black Ops Cold War weapons are integrated into Warzone and change the entire meta.
