RUMOR: Modern Warfare PC Beta Files contains references to ‘Rust’ MW2 Map

With the Modern Warfare PC Beta now out in the wild, many people have started to dig into the PC Beta files, which are always filled with leaks and information about the game ahead of the game’s launch.

A new leak from the beta files suggests that there are references to the ‘Rust’ map in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which could hint at it returning from 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

An image was posted to Twitter by TheGamingRevo:

CharlieIntel has been able to verify the fact that there are references and an image of Rust MP Map in the PC Beta files for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but we are unable to verify if the references are just leftover code from testing or if the map will actually be part of the game.

Activision has not shared any details on potential older Call of Duty maps making a return in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
