Modern Warfare 2 has dozens of weapons to level up and there’s a clever trick you can use to level up any weapon incredibly fast, whether that’s Assault Rifles or even Launchers.

With Modern Warfare 2 officially here, the weapon grind has finally begun. Players are rushing to level up and unlock the Mastery Camos for as many weapons as possible before Warzone 2 arrives on November 16, but some weapons are much more tricky than others.

However, there’s a clever method you can use to level up any weapon in the game extremely fast, which is especially useful for some of the more time-consuming weapons such as Launchers and melee.

How to level up any Modern Warfare 2 weapon incredibly fast

To quickly rank up any Modern Warfare 2 weapon, including launchers and melee weapons, players just need to equip the weapon, hop into a tank or other vehicle and capture Ground War objectives.

Here’s everything you need to do:

  1. Load into a Ground War match
  2. Equip the weapon you wish to level up (e.g Strela-P)
  3. Jump into a tank or armored vehicle
  4. Roam around the map capturing objectives and fighting other vehicles

This trick comes courtesy of YouTuber Geeky Pastimes who credits one of his viewers, Eli Martin. Using this method, Geeky Pastimes said he managed to level up one of the Launchers twice in only one game, and it was already at one of the later levels.

Similar to Warzone’s Contract trick, even though you’re using a tank, it will still count the XP for whatever weapon you’ve got equipped. It won’t count for the camo challenges, but it’ll make the whole process much quicker and easier.

This trick is best used for weapons that you might find quite tedious to level up, such as the Launchers and melee, but it’ll work for any weapon.
