Industry insider Tom Henderson claims to have recreated Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2’s ‘DMZ’ map, showing its general layout and POI locations.

A ton of leaks and rumors surrounding Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 have dropped over the past couple of weeks detailing Warzone 2’s new mechanics, the classic Modern Warfare 2 maps arriving as POIs, and the DMZ’s marketplace with tradeable items.

Now, after leaker TheMW2Ghost showed a portion of the map that will reportedly be shared between both Warzone 2 and the Escape from Tarkov-inspired DMZ, Tom Henderson has recreated the full map showing its POIs.

Rather than showing off an in-game image of what they claim to be the DMZ and Warzone 2’s map, Tom Henderson has revealed “what the official Warzone 2 map currently looks like via a drawing.”

In this drawing posted to Try Hard Guides, we can see that the map is set to be on the coast similar to Verdansk, featuring coastal POIs that could use the swimming mechanic that Henderson previously leaked.

While this drawing doesn’t reveal the size of the map, Henderson said “it does seem bigger than that of Verdansk and Caldera, especially considering if the grid reference is accurate.”

Henderson has also marked the portion of the map that TheMW2Ghost previously showed off. Their map didn’t give a ton of detail, but it shows what appears to be roads or train tracks passing through the map. Also, there’s a large river cutting through the middle of the map, with a lake on the eastern side.

There are a few icons on TheMW2Ghost’s drawing, but we’re not sure what they mean. The locks could indicate the Strongholds that both YouTuber NerosCinema and Henderson claim will allow players to get their loadouts, but there’s no guarantee.

Previous leaks have indicated that this map will be based in Central America, taking inspiration from Medellín, Colombia, but the recreation doesn’t confirm this one way or the other.

Of course, this is just a leak for now so there’s no guarantee that this is what Warzone 2 and the DMZ’s map will look like. We expect to hear more from Activision and Infinity Ward later this year, so stay tuned.
