The return of Training Camp to Madden 24

New Weekly Strategy addition in Madden 24 Franchise mode

In Madden 24 Franchise mode, developers have included the Weekly Strategy feature. This allows players to choose their offensive and defensive game plans each week, as well as select “focus players” for the upcoming match. Each focus player will have the opportunity to play one mini-game with the same purpose as Training Camp.

Significant overhaul to Madden 24 Trade system

The Madden 24 development team has made significant changes to the Trade system, introducing additional trade and draft pick slots. Below are the key features of the updated Trade system.

  • They have expanded the trade slots from three to six.
  • Players will able to include up to six draft picks in a trade
  • Users will be able to trade players for draft picks from the current year, the following year, and two years from now, and vice versa.

Madden 24: New Draft Class settings

In the League Settings menu, players will be able to change the configuration of the Draft Classes. Now they can customize them to be Very Weak, Weak, Normal, Strong, or Very Strong. Each of these configurations will result in varying levels of prospects in the next Draft Classes.

For example, if you set the prospect generation to Very Strong, there will be a higher number of top-tier prospects and a ten times greater chance of seeing a generational class than in Normal settings.

Madden 24: Draft Generators

In Madden 23, developers added 30 new draft generators to bring freshness, fun, and new opportunities to the franchise mode. This time around, they will be adding 50 new draft generators to enhance that experience even further.

With this, developers hope that in Madden 24, the new prospects will have better statistics, join the 99Club, and fill some of the positions that were left isolated in Madden 23, such as Fullback, Tight End, and more.

Madden 24: Salary cap management

Managing the salary cap has always been crucial when building a championship-contending NFL team, and now the devs have introduced two new features: Contract Restructuring and the 5th Year Option.

  • Contract Restructuring: This allows a team to reduce a player’s current year salary, distributing that money as a bonus to the remaining years, including the current, of their contract.
  • 5th Year Option: Teams have the option to extend a rookie’s contract by one year with the 5th Year Option. However, this option can only be accepted or declined by the team after the player has completed three seasons in the league.

These are the main features coming to the Franchise mode in Madden 24. If you are interested in learning more about the EA Sports video game, we recommend you keep reading our guides.
