Apex Legends has had an exciting year, launching their most popular season so far, Legacy, and preparing for a huge esports tournament that is now underway.

Although some players have probably been grinding out Ranked Leagues before the second split commences after June 15, getting frustrated with the recent DDoS issues, there has been a lot of hype for the ALGS Championship, especially with the huge prize pool of over $2 million.

Some may have also heard of the ALGS Championship from Respawn’s announcement of the new Twitch Drops community-created loading screens, which will be awarded to those who tune into the games.

What is the ALGS?

Some players may still be oblivious to what the ALGS actually is, so for those that don’t know, the Apex Legends Global Series is the esports scene for Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale.

The 2021 Apex Legends Global Series Championship has attracted more fans than ever to come and watch the best of the best compete. Both the NA and EMEA teams had their first round of games in the group stages just yesterday.

For those who want to know more about the teams and their performances, there is a handy website for you to keep track of the stats and standings. The site is called Liquipidia and is regarded as “the esports wiki, the best resource for live updated results, tournament overview, team and player profiles, game information, and more.”

On the site, fans can find a heap of information on previous, current, and future events and further details on the teams, the individual players, the Legends they use, and how long they have been playing competitive Apex.

For the Group Stages that took place yesterday, head over to the site, find Apex Legends and click on the desired round you would like to see more details on. For example, if you’re interested in finding out about the NA Group Stages, select ALGS Champ. – NA Group Stage to see the stats and standings for yesterday’s round.

Of course, you can also watch the Championship live or through a replay of the event over on the Apex Legends Global Series YouTube.
