Dragon’s Dogma 2 is set to receive multiple updates that will introduce several quality-of-life changes in the game. So here are some of the updates scheduled for upcoming Dragon’s Dogma 2 patches.

Although Dragon’s Dogma 2 had a fairly successful launch, players soon started talking about having to delete their save files to start a new game and rallied against the microtransactions present within it.

Taking all the feedback into account, Capcom announced on X that they will release some major fixes and features over the next few updates.

All upcoming Dragon’s Dogma 2 updates

Here are the changes that are set to go live in Dragon’s Dogma 2 over the next few updates:

All platforms

  • Adding the option to start a new game whenever save data already exists.
  • Changing the number of “Art of Metamorphosis” options present within the Pawn Guilds to 99.
  • Making the quest where players can acquire their own dwelling (where they can save and rest) available earlier in the game.
  • Miscellaneous text display fixes.
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes.

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X

  • Adding the option to toggle Motion Blur on or off in Options.
  • Adding the option to toggle Ray Tracing on or off in Options.
  • Adding the option to set variable frame rate or limiting it to 30 FPS in Options.

The developers have also confirmed that frame rate improvements are planned for future updates in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

  • Improving quality when DLSS Super Resolution is available.
  • Fixing the issue where models were appearing at low-quality under some resolutions.

Being able to start a new game at any given point was a highly requested feature from Dragon’s Dogma 2 players.

While the developers have confirmed that they will be adding such a feature, they haven’t mentioned when this update will be deployed.

That sums up the list of priority updates that the developers will be releasing for Dragon’s Dogma 2 in the near future. For more information about the game, be sure to check out the following links:
