Kingdom Hearts Franchise coming to PC via Epic Games Store

In a surprise post today, February 11, 2021, Epic Games and Square Enix have confirmed that the Kingdom Hearts franchise will be coming to the PC platform.

Finally, PC players will be able to experience all of the Kingdom Hearts games beginning March 30, 2021.

This launch will be exclusive to the Epic Games storefront and will be a bit pricy compared to their console counterparts, especially considering Xbox Game Pass offers the entire franchise for just $9.99 a month.

Kingdom Hearts PC Pricing

The Kingdom Hearts games will be available as 4 separate purchases for customers interested in buying the full franchise. The prices are as follows:

Customers Angered By Prices

As we stated earlier, the prices for these games aren’t exactly cheap. Purchasing yourself the whole series for PC will cost you above $220, and that’s not including taxes.

While the price point of Kingdom Hearts 3 may be a bit justified due to how recent the title still is, that hasn’t stopped customers from comparing the prices to consoles.

One Twitter user points out that they can understand the $59.99 price of Melody of Memory, but states that you can get the “All in One” collection (includes all games besides Melody of Memory) for just $25 on PSN.

The user also points out that Xbox has the titles on the game pass for just $10 a month, and even goes as far as to compare buying each title pre-owned for $30 would still be cheaper.

While we agree the price is high, we can’t help but wonder if the price of the game will drop drastically in the coming months during sales, or if this is a power move by Epic Games to make more money on sales. They are, after all, the only platform where PC players can purchase the franchise.

Regardless, at least now we can rejoice in the fact that PC now has proper ports of every Kingdom Hearts title.
