Indiana Jones and the Great Circle story & setting

Exploring the Pyramids in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle takes players to Egypt among other locations.

The story of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is placed between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark, and the Last Crusade. The year is 1937, and Indy is working at Marshall College when one night he discovers a break-in by a character named Locus, voiced by Tony Todd.

This sets off a globetrotting adventure with the character in pursuit of an ancient mystery. The hunt leads him to locations like the snow-capped Himalayas, the pyramids of Egypt, and even the Vatican City. On Indy’s trail are sinister forces, led by the manipulative figure of Emmerich Voss.

Fortunately, the archaeologist has some help in the form of Gina Lombardi, an investigative reporter who has a personal interest in the mystery of the Great Circle. The likeness of Harrison Ford has been licensed for the game, but the character is being voiced by Troy Baker.

The whip is a multi-purpose tool in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is primarily a first-person action-adventure game, but the camera offers a third-person perspective during cutscenes and while climbing objects.

In true Indy spirit, players will take on a series of intriguing puzzles that will require their wits to solve. In regards to combat, players can use stealth to slowly take out enemies, look for alternate paths to maneuver around the danger, or go guns-blazing and face them head-on.

No matter the approach, it looks like Jones’ trusty whip will be central to the experience. The tool can be used to traverse the environment, distract enemies, and even smack them to the ground. Besides the whip, players can engage in fistfights with enemies and even use their weapons against them.
