How to find Hiddenfolk in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 – All Stone Ball & cave puzzle solutions

There are a lot of puzzles to solve to reach the Hiddenfolk in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, and not all of them are easy to get through. So, here are all the puzzle solutions in Chapters 3 and 4 to help you find the Hiddenfolk. 

Finding the Hiddenfolk in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 takes a lot of searching, puzzle solving, and running away from monstrous creatures. The section can be a bit long to get through, and the puzzles get more difficult the longer you go on. 

So, here is everything you need to pass the tests the Hiddenfolk put in your way, how to solve their puzzles, and how to find them in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2.

How to find all Hiddenfolk Stone Balls in Hellblade 2 Chapter 3

There are three main puzzles to solve in Chapter 3 before you reach the Hiddenfolk cave in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, and here are their solutions: 

Puzzle 1

The first puzzle can be found on the main path you walk after you speak with Fargrymir in his village. You need to walk for quite some time, but it’s right on the main road, so you can’t miss it. 

When you reach the puzzle, a moving target-like wall will form and you won’t be able to go any further. This is the first of puzzles that doesn’t require finding symbols, but instead, you need to locate the Hiddenfolk’s stone balls and place them on the altars. 

Stone Ball 1

You can find the first Stone Ball just to the left of the rotating wall, slightly hidden in a corner of the pathway. Once you pick it up, the world around you will change. Take it to the altar and place it. 

Stone Ball 2

Once you have placed the first Stone Ball, a bubble will appear in the sky to your right. Focus on this bubble, and you will see that it changes the landscape around you. 

Head toward the bubble and climb the ledge underneath it. Turn right immediately and follow the path until you find the second Stone Ball. There should be a ledge you can jump down just behind you to reach the altar and place it. The wall should disappear, and you have passed the first test. 

Puzzle 2

The second Hiddenfolk puzzle can also be found on the main path, not too far from the first. This time, though, you’ll have to find three Stone Balls. 

Stone Ball 1

The first Stone Ball can be found on top of a small hill just to the right of the altar. Follow the path up there, pick it up, and the world around you will change again. 

Once you have placed it on the altar, the world around you will shift again. 

Stone Ball 2

Once you have placed the first Stone Ball, a bubble will appear just to your right and next to the original hill you got the first one from. 

Follow these steps from here: 

1. Focus on the first bubble to form a bridge. 
2. Go back to the location where you found the first Stone Ball and cross the bridge. 
3. Find a second bubble and Focus on it to bring the second Stone Ball to the ground. 
4. Rotate back to the altar and Focus on the first bubble again to lift the bridge. 
5. Walk through the gap and retrieve the second Stone Ball. 

Stone Ball 3

The last Stone Ball can be found to the left of the altar. There’s another bubble here, too, and your first step is to Focus on it to change the landscape. 

Climb the ledge, and then Focus on the bubble again to drop the Stone Ball to the ground. Retrieve it, and Focus on the bubble one last time to get the ledge back. Head to the altar, and you have passed the second Hiddenfolk test. 

Puzzle 3

The third and last puzzle before you find the Hiddenfolk cave in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 also requires you to find three Stone Balls. Here is how to get them: 

Stone Ball 1

The first Stone Ball can be found just to the right of where you enter, on a small hill. Follow the path up the small hill to find the Stone Ball. Pick it up, and the world around you changes again. 

Head to the altar, which is located on the other side of the large lake, to place it and spawn some bubbles around the area. 

Stone Ball 2

To find the second Stone Ball, you need to find a bubble directly ahead of you once you place the first Ball. 

Focus on this bubble to bring the second Stone Ball’s altar down to the ground and head straight toward it to pick it up and bring it back to the altar. 

Stone Ball 3

Stone Ball three requires a bit more intricate solving (and a bit of combat) than the first two, and here are the steps: 

1. Focus on the bubble you used for Stone Ball 2 and flip the landscape again.
2. Head to the middle side above the lake and find a second bubble. 
3. Focus on it to change the landscape and climb the ledge to your left. 
4. Walk across and find a third bubble to your right. 
5. Focus on it to change the landscape, and watch out for the Draugar that will attack you here.
6. Once you’ve defeated the Draugar, climb back down the ledge to the second bubble.
7. Focus on it to change the landscape and create a path to your right. 
8. Rotate back to where you originally came from and climb the new path.
9. Follow the path and the Stone Ball will be on a ledge here. 

How to solve all the Hiddenfolk cave puzzles in Hellblade 2

There are six puzzles you need to complete in the Hiddenfolk caves in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, and here are all their solutions: 

Puzzle 1

The first puzzle is quite deep in the caves, and it’s a little different from what you’ve been doing so far. You’ll enter an area with a strange blue hue and find an unlit Brazier to your left. 

Navigate around the small hill the Brazier is on to find the path to it, and when you reach it, light it with your torch. A new path will appear, and you’ll be able to move forward again. 

Puzzle 2

The second puzzle is similar to the first, but this time, your way will be blocked by a rock that has a slightly colorful hue. 

There is a lit altar on your right, just above the entryway, that you need to kill. Look for a small crack in the wall (also on the right of the area) and climb through to find the path to it. Kill the altar, and your way will be clear. 

Puzzle 3

The third puzzle involves some water that kills your torch and a few altars you need to light. Follow these steps to solve it: 

1. Look for a small crack ahead as you enter the room, past the waterfall. 
2. Enter this crack and follow the path to an unlit Brazier. Light it. 
3. Go back to the starting area and walk up the newly formed path to an unlit torch in a hole in the wall to your right. Light this torch. 
4. Navigate back to the first Brazier and kill the flame. 
5. Go through the waterfall (just past the blue lights) and go left. Notice a second Brazier just ahead of you.
6. Light your torch with the torch in the wall and go back to the second Brazier. Light it. 

If at any point your torch dies, there is an already-lit torch in a hole in the wall to the left when you first enter the room. 

Puzzle 4

Once you’ve gone through the cave a bit more, you’ll find another area where your torch has been forcibly killed by water falling from the ceiling. 

A small cutscene will play where three figures appear surrounded by a distorted red hue, and they will threaten you. Before you go through the water, go left and navigate around the path to find a torch. Light your own, and you’ll be able to continue again.

Puzzle 5

You will reach an area with small waterfalls that forcibly kill your torch, and you can’t go through the water without light. 

When you reach this area, go to your left and follow the path until you find a small hole in the wall, also on your left. Go through this hole and turn left again to find a lit torch. Light your own, and then follow the path back again to another torch on the top of a small hill. 

Light this torch and navigate back to the starting area. You now have enough light to get through the water to the torch at the far end of the room. When you reach this torch, light your own again, and continue forward.

How to solve the Wisdom test & find the Hiddenfolk in Hellblade 2

The last big puzzle you need to solve before finding the Hiddenfolk in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is in a large, open area where you work with a strange blue figure. Here is how to solve it: 

1. Grab the torch to your right when you first enter the area. 
2. Light Brazier 1 on your left and let the blue figure pass. 
3. Turn right and follow the path until you find a ledge that lets you go further into the area.

1. Follow the path until you find Brazier 2 and kill its flame.
2. Go into the newly formed path and follow it to find Brazier 3 and kill its flame.
3. Go back to Brazier 2 and light it again. 
4. Go through the path just ahead of Brazier 2, and light Brazier 3 again. 

1. You will now be able to cross the bridge, go to the left side to find the start of the path. 
2. When you reach the hole in the wall, give your torch to the blue figure by passing it through the hole. 
3. Go back to Brazier 3 and kill the flame. 
4. Navigate through the opening it creates and look for Brazier 4 ahead of you, the one the blue figure lit. 
5. Kill Brazier 4’s flame. 
6. Go underneath the rock in the newly formed hole and follow the path. The blue figure should hand your torch back to you through the hole in the wall on the left. 
7. Go back to Brazier 4 and light it. 
8. Climb up the path to find Brazier 5 and light it. 

1. Climb down the ledge just ahead of Brazier 5, slightly to the left, and navigate back to Brazier 1 where you started. 
2. Kill Brazier 1’s flame. 
3. Walk through the path that has formed and around the cliff until you find another hole. Pass your torch back to the blue figure. 
4. The blue figure will light Brazier 1 again, and you will be able to walk over and continue. 

After you have solved this puzzle, you will be without a torch, but the Hiddenfolk will guide you through the caves with light.  

The last puzzle

The final puzzle you need to solve involves the same bubbles you found while looking for the Stone Balls on the surface. Here is how to solve it:

1. Once you’ve entered the room, go left and find a lone bubble on the left. Focus on it to remove the debris it controls.
2. Turn around and Focus on the main bubble in the middle of the room.
3. Turn again, walk around the first bubble, and Focus on the main bubble again.
4. Climb up the newly formed path ahead of you until you can’t anymore, and Focus on the main bubble again.
5. Walk further down the path until you reach the bubble controlling the entryway. Focus on it to open the gate.
6. As you walk back, remember to Focus on the main bubble as you need to open the pathway back for you.

The path from here is fairly straightforward – barring some tough fights and a horrifying sequence where you need to stay away from the dark. But, from here, you will have found the Hiddenfolk, and you can breathe for a little bit.
