EA Sports WRC VR mode release date: All supported headsets

Like the previous Codemasters titles, EA Sports WRC will get official VR support. Here are all the details about VR mode in EA Sports WRC, including all supported devices. 

The extensive post-launch support for EA Sports WRC continues, as the circuit racer is now in its fourth season. While all updates brought new modes and general improvements, the game still lacked VR Support.

Luckily, EA Sports WRC confirmed that this feature will be introduced in the next update, so here’s everything you should know about it.

EA Sports WRC VR mode release date

EA Sports WRC VR support will be released on April 30, 2024. It’ll be available on PC (via Steam, Epic, and EA App).

This feature won’t be sold separately, and players will get it for free. In its announcement post, EA confirmed that the mode will be “directly integrated into the main game as an additional boot mode.”

EA Sports WRC all supported VR headsets

According to Codemasters, EA Sports WRC fully supports the following VR headsets:

• Meta Quest 3
• Meta Quest 2
• Meta Quest Pro
• Valve Index
• Oculus Rift S
• Oculus CV1
• HTC Vive

Other headsets that EA considers “partially supported” are:

• HTC Vive Cosmos
• HTC Vive Pro 2

Devs noted that other headsets that aren’t on this list may also work, but said that they cannot “guarantee full functionality at this time.” 

Is EA Sports WRC VR available on PSVR 2?

No, EA Sports WRC does not support PSVR 2 and is exclusive to the PC VR ecosystem. Here is a list of VR headsets that are not supported:

• PlayStation VR 
• PlayStation VR 2
• Apple Vision Pro

Even though this is a bummer for PlayStation players, it is hardly surprising since Codemasters DiRT Rally 2.0 doesn’t support PSVR either and Gran Turismo remains a solitary major racing game available on PSVR.
