An internal Epic Games presentation has revealed upcoming Fortnite content, including skins for NBA players and a new Icon Series event in 2021 featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

In recent Fortnite news, Epic Games have been planning an NBA crossover event for Season 6, featuring new Basketball related challenges and rewards. More information has now been revealed about the event, as well as some future cosmetics releasing soon.

The news has been made public due to Epic Games’ ongoing law dispute with Apple, presenting the community with a presentation of various new upcoming content, including a skin for Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock.

The presentation also showed Epic Games’ plans for previous events that have already taken place, such as the Marvel crossover event and Neymar collaboration, adding credibility to the news.

Not only does the new information reveal the NBA crossover, featuring a new arcade basketball mini-game, and an open-world mode for players to enjoy, it also revealed a future Icon Series event, in which Dwayne Johnson is involved.

Although no official partnership has been confirmed, it seems likely that The Rock will be making an appearance in the free-to-play battle royale. Some even believe he is The Foundation, a mysterious Season 6 character who has a similar build to the Hollywood star.

The Rock has also previously posted an interesting Instagram video in which he refers to the foundation. The post was made on March 16th, the same day Season 6 began for Fortnite, as he states in the video that it was an important day. Could The Rock have hinted at his mysterious role in Fortnite?

Eitherway, it seems we will indeed be seeing The Rock as a themed skin in the future of Fornite, along with the Icon Series.
