Fortnite ‘Operation Snowdown’ challenges leaked
Fortnite’s latest holiday-themed event is almost here. Winterfest 2020, also known as Operation Snowdown, will go live in a few days, and a new leak has given us information on some of the challenges and rewards that we can expect.
Epic Games released the first update for Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 5 on December 15. The v15.50 update brought winter-themed skins, NPCs, and new Exotic weapons to the game. All of this is meant to prepare players for the annual holiday celebration.
Winterfest is just around the corner, and the developers are adding new challenges that you can tackle when they release Operation Snowdown in a few days. Now a new leak has given us an early look at the different tasks that we’ll have to perform in the event.
Let’s go over the leaked Operation Snowdown challenges in Fortnite Season 5.

If this leak is accurate, then there are a total of 16 challenges in Fortnite Winterfest 2020. XP bonuses are the only kind of rewards that are tied to these challenges. There aren’t any cosmetic rewards attached to them, but that can change when the challenges are actually released.
There are a couple of new skins that you can unlock if you tackle these tasks. Snowmando is your reward for completing 9 Operation Snowdown Quests, and the Frost Squad skin is the prize for completing 12.
A few of these challenges will have you use newly-released weapons such as the Big Chill Grenade Launcher. Releasing the Winterfest is the perfect way for the developers to get Fortnite players into the holiday spirit during Season 5.
Do keep in mind that these are still leaks at the moment. We haven’t heard any confirmation from Epic Games yet, so these are subject to change. We’ll know for sure when the event goes live in a few days, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
