FIFA 23 title update 7 patch notes: Corner positioning, offsides & more

Nathan Warby
Referee in FIFA 23

EA SPORTS have announced that FIFA 23 Title Update #7 is set to arrive very soon, bringing with it a number of fixes that fans have been calling for such as improved calls from the referee and better positioning from corners.

FIFA 23 players have been spoiled as of late, with the Team of the Year promo delivering a host of special cards and SBCs to grind for, and the fan Future Stars event expected to keep the momentum going.

However, there have been a number of bugs and glitches that have spoiled the experience slightly. FUT fans reported an issue with Thibaut Courtois’ TOTY item and even accidental nerfs to special cards already in their club.

Luckily, the developer is constantly pushing out updates to fix any issues with FIFA 23 and make gameplay adjustments. Next up is FIFA 23 Title Update 7, and it’s bringing some long-awaited fixes to the game.

Is there a FIFA 23 Title Update 7 release date?

The devs didn’t provide an exact release date for FIFA 23 Title Update 7, but they did reveal it will “soon be available” on PC. EA don’t usually like to sit on updates for too long before pushing them live, so we’d expect PC players to receive it in the coming days.

If the team sticks to its usual release plan, PlayStation and Xbox fans will receive the patch around a week after it’s available on PC.

Corner positioning fixed in FIFA 23 Title Update 7

One of the biggest adjustments coming in FIFA 23 Title Update 7 is positioning from corner kicks. Previously, many of your tallest players would linger nearer the edge of the box from setpieces, making it difficult to pick them out from a cross.

With this patch, your main ariel threats will take up more “attack-oriented positions,” in an effort to make corners much more threatening.

FIFA 23 Title Update 7 referee changes

Another recurring problem in FIFA 23 was players being called offside when they started in a position off the pitch. If their run crossed the touchline, they would often be flagged despite being yards onside.
